The Marriage of Hazrat Ali R.A and Hazrat Fatimah R.A was ordered by Allah SWT to the Holy Prophet Muhammed S.A.S . The Marriage was also carried out by Allah in the heavens and The Holy Prophet Muhammed S.A.S carried the same on earth. Manawi, Fayd-ul -qadir (2:215) Hadith 2 The Holy Prophet(Sallalaahu Alaihi wasallam) said, “Oh Ans(radiallahu taala anhu) ! Do you know what message Jibraeel has brought from the Owner of the Throne?” Then he said, “Allah has ordered me to arrange Fatimah’s(radiallahu taala anhu) marriage with Ali(radiallahu taala anhu) 1. Husaini said in al -Bayanwat -tarif (2:301#1803) that Qazwini, Khatib Baghdadi and Ibn Asakir have transmitted it through Ans bin Malik. 2. Muhibb Tabari, Dhakhai r-ul -uqba fi manaqib dhaw-il -qurba (p.71) Hadith 3 Ans bin Malik narrates that when the Messenger of Allah (Sallalaahu Alaihi wasallam) was in the mosque, he said to Ali(radiallahu taala anhu) “This is Jibraeel (Alaihis salaam) who is telling me that Allah has performed your marriage ceremony to Fatimah(radiallahu taala anhu) in the presence of forty thousand angels as witnesses to the marriage ceremony. He said to the tree of tuba (blessing) to rain pearls and rubies on them. The tree showered them with pearls and rubies. Then women with beautiful eyes gathered the pearls and rubies in trays which the angels (present in the ceremony) will present to each other as gifts until the Day of Judgement. 1. Miswar bin Makhr amah nar rates that he heard the Messenger of Allah (salalaahu alaihi wasallam) say on the pulpit, “ Banu Hashim bin Mughirah have sought my permission for Ali to marry their daughter. I do not permit them, again I do not permit them and again I do not permit them.”… The Holy Prophet (salalaahu alaihi wasallam) then said, “My daughter is a part of me, whatever disturbs her dist urbs me and whatever gives her pain gives me pain.” 1.
